Automated driving technology is making leaps and bounds with companies such as Mercedes-Benz at the forefront of developing its technology. Mercedes-Benz started the Intelligent World Drive to adapt more highly automated driving functions to national traffic and user practices. The aim is to gather global insights into real-life traffic conditions for the advancement of the technologies. We had the pleasure of photographing an automated vehicle based off the S-Class saloon around Wellington’s iconic landmarks such as the Beehive, Te Papa and Oriental Bay.
